Nuneaton and Atherstone Beekeepers are involved in events in the local area & are available to make presentations to interested groups.

We have a dynamic membership from all ages & backgrounds and are always pleased to welcome new members to the branch and to pass on our experiences, which are wide and varied. An experienced beekeeper will associate him or herself with a new member and support them through the adventures of their first season. We welcome visitors to our meetings.

From May to August, apiary meetings are held fortnightly on Thursday Evenings, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, starting on Thursday 12 May.

These are at our new training apiary to Dobbies Garden World, Cross Lane Farm, Nuneaton Road, Mancetter Near Atherstone, CV9 1RF. Entrance via Plantasia. Dobbies staff will control free entrance to our apiary so you need to sign in. Visitors, please call Secretary, Julia Wallis, 024 7632 8527 in advance so that your details can be passed on.

IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE: Access will be through "Plantasia" between 5.30 and 6.00, Plantasia closes at 6.00pm!!!

A security protocol has been agreed with Dobbies Management regarding NBKA members exiting the site after the meetings, this will be explained at the meeting.

A number of spare veils etc. are kept on hand, this enables visitors and potential new members to experience bees 'up close' and to decide if beekeeping is for them before having to make an investment in their own protective clothing. You will need your own gloves – Marigolds are just right – and footwear – many wear wellies. Thickish baggy trousers – not fluffy – that tuck into your wellies also. Refreshments cost 50p

In winter, indoor meetings are held on the first Monday in the month at 7.00 for 7.30 pm. We meet at Hatters Space, Upper Abbey Street, Nuneaton, CV11 5DN – see http://www.hatters-space.co.uk/.
